Hope Fire Vehicle Accident 2025

An Incident Management Team (IMT) was ordered for the Hope Fire in Washington state on July 9, 2025. Resource orders were promptly made to IMT members and the travel process began. One team member secured a National Emergency Response Vehicle (NERV) rental and began a multi day trip to the incident. On the second day of driving, all the driver remembers is looking at a guard rail from the driver’s seat and realizing they had been in an accident caused by falling asleep. The driver was unharmed but the vehicle was totaled.
