Description:
On May 17, 2024, while supporting RT-219 (Helicopter Transport of External Cargo Refresher Training), a Bell 205 A1++ helicopter was forced to perform an autorotation due to low rotor RPM. While an autorotation is a maneuver every helicopter pilot must practice and be able to perform, it is rare that they are forced to do this in the operational environment.
