Description:
A firefighter on the Diamond Complex, Umpqua National Forest, Oregon, was felling a 6" diameter tree and when it landed it sprang back and struck him in the face. The injured firefighter was assessed on the line, and the firefighter was transported to ICP. Initial diagnosis included cuts, bruises and some broken teeth. The firefighter was transported by ground ambulance and diagnosed with a broken upper palate and released.
