Mendocino Lake Complex Vehicle Rollover 2017

On October 19, 2017, at approximately 1800 hours, an Orange County FF/Medic was involved in a single vehicle rollover. The driver was assigned to the Mendocino Lake Complex in Mendocino County, California as a Helicopter Crew Member (HECM). The vehicle was traveling southbound on Highway 101 and began to transition onto Highway 37 when the vehicle lost traction and left the roadway. The driver was wearing his seatbelt and attempted to extricate himself but was unable due to injuries. The driver of the vehicle was transported to Navato Community Hospital for evaluation and treatment of a fractured collar bone and minor laceration. The driver was released from the hospital later that night.
